It had been a long and ardous journey. For the last few weeks Kuro had been mercilessly pushing onwards despite any kind of complaint from himself, his body, or Mia, his female and perhaps forced, companion. The desert they had been trecking through was likely not the proper way to get there, bbut then again, Sunagakure was the village hidden in the wind, and it was quite windy in the desert, so it seemed likely. Well, windy and hot. And cold. And sandy. I kuro was completley honest with himself he would think that he had taken a wrong turn somewhere, and the “offical route” he had missed. “Huum deedlee dum dum dum deee.....” Kuro hummed to himself. He was calm, and peaceful. He felt like he had just avoided a bullet. But at the same time felt as if he had been killed. Kuro had done something really dumb. And he now regretted it more than anything. But also he was now immusearbly glad. He had escaped. And it occured to him that it was such a stuid thing to do. Why on earth had he done it? His horizon had opened dramatically. He was free. He had broken away. He would never need to bow to any greedy and corrupt bastard ever again. But why did he feel so melancholy? in his old village, Kuro could have had it all. He could have advanced to become the Hokage in time. He knew that some people had faith in him. And he betrayed them all. This state of thought had come to him when he crossed the border. When he was officially a missing ninja. When his activities had become.... Illegal. Kuro was so sad about what he had done. He had absorbed himself into his depression, his mind consumed by thoughts of failure. If he could, he would do anything to go back to his village. To make it like it had never happened. Ah, but it had happened. And there was nothing he could do about it now. Kuro was now nothing more than a collision size in this world, his mind somewhere else, far awy. His mind wandered and wandered. And when it came back to him, it was not quite the same as it was before. He had left his morals walking in the abyss of his consience, so recently emptied by his mental exercise. They had left. And Kuro had closed the door behind them. They would wander forever and ever, never being as large a part of his life as they once were. On occasion they may bang at the windows, or knock on the doors. But they would never be as present and prominent as they once were. And so the house, Kuro’s mind, became cold and hard. Older and calculating. Kuro had changed much from one action. “deeda lee doo dum da!” changed in the beats of a whistle, that couldn’t have lasted more than a few seconds. Kuro opened his eyes, and looked towards his companion. She was now a liability. At first Kuro had thought that he may spare her, bring her along for the laughs. But now all he could think about was how she was going to let him down… Kuro fully planned to kill her that moment, she was nothing more than a food consuming waste in a desert like this, so hot the flesh from her bones would cook right off. Talking of cooking, Kuro realized the possibility that he might actually have to eat her. After walking to the top of a particularily large dune, Kuro turned around to look at her, if she had continued to follow him, and was about to say something about how he was sorry about dragging her out here, and sorry about how now shse was going to lose her life…. When suddenly, at the top of the dune, he saw it. Surrounded by wind, like any true hidden village, Kuro saw was simply had to be Sunagakure. Turning to his companion he said, regardless of anything that she may have said before, ascertain that his statement was more important, “Mia, you've got to listen to me. They won't let us in just because we request it, we a missing ninja now, so we've got to act as though we are not. I can conceal my chakra from their sensory ninja, but you can't. So you will wear this” Kuro shrugged of his jounin vest. “It's a little too big, but it should do the trick, got it? Same trick that we did to get out of kohona, you'll be escorting me. Although this time it's almost certain not to work, we may be intercepted by an ANBU, they can sense a lie a mile away.” Kuro then took of his headband, on the trip to suna it had been useful to stave off andit attacks, that and his jounin vest marked him as the elite of kohona. Well, it had at any rate. Kuro hid the headband deep inside a knapsack that they had aquaried during their travels, the suitcase long since wearing out and breaking, Kuro had been forced to dump the majority of his possessions. It would have been wise for him to throw it away in the wastes, but he could not bring himself to do that. It was like throwing away and award that you had won in a skill you no longer possessed. It was hard to do. Kuro trusted in his charge to prepare herself to act the part of jounin, they approached at an irregular angle towards the Sunagakure gates. Kuro was wearing a monkns costume, that he had pickedd up from a dead priest they had found on the road. He had the hood right up, so it hid his hair, so as not to leave anything to chance, he had actually tied his hair down to his scalp, which was quite uncomfortable. Hopefully Mia was now wearing the attire of a jounin. Kuro knew that their story would not hold up under scrutiny, but hopefully he could sue for shelter in sunagakure. In a few years perhaps he could even become a village jounin after showing them that he had the talent to match with the best of the village. Kuro and mia were now approaching the village gates, the proctor of entry and exit into the village was only a few meteres away, glancing up and down Kuro to check for any indescrepancys, and then identifying Mia as the leader, would then walk up to her and ask her the question, “You are a jounin of Kohonagakure yes? And this is you charge? I am to ask you why have you come to our village, we were not alerted of your arrival, which is most inconvenient for us.” Although the man spoke gently, he had a sharp tone to his voice, and it was clear to Kuro that he could set upon them the Shinobi of the village, of whom would kill them in an instant. Walking into another village was dangerous, or at least that was the rumor. It was up to mia now to get them through. Her lie would have to be convincing enough that the proctor would not check the regity for missions, and find that the “priest” had not been requested by Suna. If she did anything else, Kuro and Mia would soon have an audience of ANBU. Game over.

Mia and Kuro walked through the heat of the desert with strength and power, however it seemed like it wasnt enough because the desert was just too hot. Mia wondered where exactly they were or rather where they were going because they had been away from the village for several days and it seemed almost like they were never going back. As the duo walked up a rather large sand dune with Kuro in the front, he would stop once he reached the top and begin to talk to Mia. As Kuro spoke he told Mi that it would be hard to get into Sunagakure seeing as they were now missing ninja and they had to play out some story to make it believable that she was his escort so that could make it into the village. He had even given her his jonin vest in hopes to make it more believable.

When they arrived at the village gates the gate guard began to grill her on what was there business here. Mia was good under pressure but since she found out she was a missing nin she was about to crack. However this adventure was not meant to go well as the more questions that came her way the more she began to fold up under pressure. And finall she cracked and said "We're missing nin from konoha, and we really need a place to stay so please will you let us stay here?" Usually they would arrest or kill them on the spot however since there was no true kazekage they allowed them to come into the village until the acting kazekage made a decision. "Here fill out these papers one for each of you and then we will let you in." said the guard. Mia would then quickly begin to fll out the paperwork and hoped that Kuro wasnt mad at her.

Kuro was a little impressed with his student as she managed the lie pretty faultlessly, and then went on to tae a verbal beating by the proctor. Kuro sighed to himself “fuhhh” as they walked through. He thought that perhaps Mia would have collapsed under her own lie, but alas, she had survived it, the two now walking through the streets of sunagakure. The infiltration successful. And now Kuro might have to do something quite undesirable. Kuro knew that Mia, if she was captured by the ANBU, would not last long under interrogation. Heck, some jounin couldn't handle the pain that ANBU was willing to exert on a prisoner. Kuro found the idea of disposing of Mia permanently, more and more desirable. Kuro had to look out for number one, but a companion with the same leanings, and survival instincts, with little to no loyalty towards him, was quite dangerous. “Decided then.” Kuro thought to himself. Now only remained how he was to do the deeed. It would have t be secret, out of site from where people could see them. And it had to be as soon as possible, lest Mia suspect his intention, or worse, the ANBU find him. Kuro decided that the best thing to do now was to act fast. With his sense of smell, Kuro led her to the market, and bought himself and her two ice creams. He then decided to find his way to the quietest and lowest part of the village, among the filthy and old. Kuro had no heed for her calls, and did not answer any questions she might have prosed. Had she been unwilling to follow him, Kuro would have insisted with the word “Please, for me Mia. This is important, and I have to be out of sight to tell you this...” Hopefully her curiosity would be sated upon him saying these words. The journey to the deepest parts of sunagakuure that were both unguarded and open to civilians would be without incident and swift. A watching eye would have been able to see that Kuro was in a hurry. This scared Kuro a little. He could be under attack by ANBU or the village jounin at any second, still concealing his chakra to the best of his ability.

Once they arrived at the place that Kuro was looking for, an alley that was surrounded by houses, and also sunk into the ground, and then spilled out into the sewers, whose thick lead piping would stop sound from escaping, Kuro would stop himself and Mia, about three meters away from the, ahem, “river” The smell was terrible, and no people seemed to be in the sewers at the moment. Kuro was planning to dump her body in here, no person would notice the smell as her corpse begun to rot. It was pretty perfect. The ground was firm enough to be malleable, so Kuro would be able to buury her, and was not soft or wet enough to create slides, which would deposit her corpse into the river, and possibly reveal that Kuro had murdered her. And now it came to doing the deed. Kuro would attempt to grab her over her mouth, stopping her from yelling, and then grab her shoulder, and pull her into an embrace, so he was holding her mouth and stopping her from moving. Kuro would then snake his arm that was holding her across her neck, making sure to keep up the tight grip so as to make sure she could not get away. With this grip, Kuro applied his full strength to her neck and windpipe, also making sure to stop her legs from oving by throwing her off of her feet, so her feet would be struggling against the dirt as he choked her. But choking her was no this intention. Kuro would then wrench with his arms, so her entire body would be horizontal for a moment, and with a savage tug, break her neck. Hopefully. If for some reason he had been unable to grip her, which would seem unlikely to him, considering he had been behind and had produced no inclination to harm her, and had kep her arms from moving towards any kind of weapon by holding her against his body so tightly, and by the time he had thrown her into the air to break her neck, it would have been to late for any kind of escape, he would have crushed her windpipe. But if she had managed to break free of his grip, Kuro's main incentive would have been to shut her up. He would have done this by punching her in the abdomen area, or throat, disabling her from yelling. If necessary, Kuro would have resorted to ninjutsu, such as Katon, too kill her, despite the noise that it may have made.

(48 Hours have gone by, I'm claiming a hit here.)

"CRACK" This sound would have been what someone would have heard, had the sound traveled very far. Which it hadn't. The loud and pure noise overruled the squelch noise which was Mia's Wind pipe breaking. The pain would have been sufficient to make an average person faint. But this Pain, for Mia, was the last thing that she would ever feel. Her body was unblemished, and the onlt thing pertaining to injury was a small amount of blood that spontaneously trickled out of her mouth, along with a red ring around her neck area. Otherwise she might have lookedd as if she had fallen over. Kuro made sure that her head did not get out of position. The unnatural look on the body of someone whom he had once cared about may have spurred him to tears. And Kuro was very sad. he gently lowered her to the ground, like someone might lay a child to rest. He looked at his handiwork for a minute. Mia's legs would occasionally twitch, and sometimes she would lift her arm to her neck. "In the end we are nothing more than animals....." Kuro thought to himself, the dark thought settling in comfortably inside his stormy thought space. Kuro never imagined that he would be killing a friend. "Am I so sure this is for the greater good?" Can I still say to myself that this was for the best? Kuro wanted to cry. Kuro wrestled with his emotions for a second, banging on the door, demanding that he show remorse. But there was none to be found. Kuro felt.... Nothing. Maybe a bit of a lifting feeling, glad that he had finally done the deed, and killed her.

Kuro kneeled down, over Mia's corpse, and vomited into the sewer. “I knew that was coming, at least” Kuro was now unsure of what to do. What was his purpose? He had already broken his original oath to making the world a better place, by killing a person, just because there was a small risk attactched. “I have valued myself too high, am I worth doing this? Is anything worth killing a person like this?” Kuro thought about it. Yes. It had to be worth something like this. What Kuro aimed to do was worth anything in the entire world. Anything, and everything. He had to chcnage what was already here. If he was not prepared to take some lives along the way, then he was stupid. He had to do this. Kuro was digging a hole, in which he would place Mia. The dirt was crappy and disgusting, but moist enough to be compacted, and hold something well. It was like clay. Really dirty clay. Kuro didn't want to think about how it had gotten to the way it was. When the hole was finished, Kuro would deposit the body of Mia into it, but not before wrapping it in all of his and her spare clothes. Kuro also, to his own disgust, used a nearby rock to cut off five pieces of her flesh. He did not know if there was anything spcial about her, but these pieces of flesh could fetch quite a high price to the right people. After this was done, Kuro filled in the hole, she would be effectively preserved. When Kuro completed the act of burying her, he went out into the village, and got himself a cup of coffee at a bar, doing his very best to look inconspicuous.
