Shousha woke up extra early and ran into his brothers rrom. He looked down on the boy in the blankets and whispered to himself. "My little brother, the student on the Hokage, has become a mailman... What am I do to with him?" From within the blankets, Grey only dreamed of sitting atop the mountain of Hokage, looking down on the entire Hidden Leaf Village. The rock on his bottom was cold and the wind that breezed through the air gave his skin a chill, but the view made it more than worth it. He knew that one day, all of this would be his. But sadly, that day was not today. From within his dream, he heard his brother's voice speak to him softly. "Ukutsushi... Can you hear me little brother?" And that was when he opened his eyes to see his brother sitting right next to him. He was a bit surprised that Shousha had not abrubtly waken him up this morning and decided to ask him about it. "No sudden shaking of my limp body today?" Shousha chuckled quietly to himself and sighed. "Not today little brother. However, you do have a job to do today. You're supposed to deliver a package today. There's a big box on the porch just outside. You can't miss it. I won't be coming with you today." And with that, he got up and left the house in a flash.

Grey wiped his eyes and looked around for Shou, but he was already gone and so the boy simply rose from his sheets and entered the bathroom. With his usual attire he dressed himself after bathing in a bit of hot water and washing his hair and body. He stared at himself in the mirror for a good bit of time, looking into his unorthidox eyes, wondering what about him made him so different from all the other Uchiha. With one eye of red and one of grey, he almost seemed like a mutant, a freak. But maybe that's what set him aside from the entire world. Sharingan gave him two red eyes but while he was in a form that was without the cursed eyes, they were just off. And the whole world could see him that way. Off. He sighed as he put two hands onto the sink and pushed himself off. It was time to go to work so there was no time to fret about something as simple as this. Or as major.

Pushing himself out of the bathroom with his own two legs, he was able to find himself all the way to the front door with little help from his own pool of energy. The entire atmosphere felt so dark, as if the ordeal with Shousha set the tone for the entire day. However, he had to avert his thoughts as he lifted the package and pushed himself forward into the world. The package was to be delivered to the Hokage building. He would have to keep pushing, and he just couldn't stop. But that was it, life was just a push at this point, as if he was going directly up a ninety degree angle, seeking only the future but struggling to get to it. Perhaps this was what his grandfather wanted to hide from him by reducing him from his true Uchiha blessing. The thought of no hope was what the man wanted to avoid in the boy, but it just couldn't be done.

It only took about two minutes to get to the residence of the Hokage. He lived closer than most other people in the village as he was lucky enough to have a nice house in the middle of the village. He entered the office of the Hokage and simply handed the package to the receptionist. "Thank you sir, I will handle this right away." Said the man at the desk. "Though, I have one favor to ask you, seeing as you are the one who delivers mail. No other Genin are available at the moment. Would you mind taking this letter to a Mrs. Nitsuna?" He said with a smile. Grey looked up the man, someone who was rather average but somehow impactful on his life. The man offered him a smile despite his appearance of discolored eyes and tattooed face. The man treated him with sympathy, as if there was no difference between the two, and that warmed the heart of the younger Uchiha. "Y-yes... No problem whatsoever sir. I'm more than happy to help out. And so he grabbed the letter and smiled back at the man before walking out to the door. The ground on his feet suddenly felt less sticky, that or his feet were lighter, as if the world wasn't holding him down with intense gravity. There were people in the world who didn't care. Good people. It was just as if there was a darkness in his soul preventing him from seeing it differently. Maybe it was his fault. Maybe it was something in him. Or maybe it was hust him.

Either way, the impending darkness within his soul originated from the fact that he feared what others thought of him. Perhaps as long as he had a few that really did care, those like Daemon-sensei, Cherry and Shousha and Gramps, well maybe he didn't need everyone in the world to like him. As long as those select few cared, why else would he care.

He was finally at the old lady's house, letter in hand he made his way to the door and knocked twice before taking one step down and awaiting an answer. Naturally, an old lady came to the door and looked directly at him with little to no emotion. "I have this letter for you, directly from the Hokage's office. Will you take it?" Asked the boy before the woman. She smiled and reached for the letter at which he gave it to her. "Thank you so much dearie. Here's the normal fee. Use it to get a haircut." And with that she turned around and shut the door. He touched the top of his head and chuckled. "Oh well."
