Spoiler:

It was his time, he had finally been drafted into the Anbu Training program. A program that scouted out potential ninja who had what it took to become Anbu . . . or at least that seemed like they did. It wasn't rare for ninja to have their psyche broken down during these trails and the village made each sign a waiver before hand, so they were accountable for their own actions and break downs. Ondori didn't worry the slightest bit, he was confident in his abilities and he felt he had learned to think with his mind and solely his mind without letting his heart alter his path. Logos He thought to himself as he waited at the Kumogakure gates for the last ninja to arrive, he wasn't late, but he wasn't early and that seemed to peeve the Cell Leader, one who was currently among the Anbu ranks. 2:15 on the dot and the ninja appeared. As soon as he did, no formalities exchange, the Anbu ninja snapped into action. "Finally all here, good. Simple mission. You are on watch duty, but the way we Anbu do it. Post up in spots along the road to Kumogakure no Sato, hidden of course. Scouting out all who walk the path, if any shady characters come by, one returns to warn the guards, while the other two engage with intentions of subduing. Normally you are taught not to engage targets without full cells, that's no longer the case. Am I understood?" Each nodded and Ondori then volunteered himself to be the one to return to deliver note of any shady travelers. The other two nodded and the group headed out. Not down the road they'd be watching of course.

Out on the outskirts, then they finally took to the local vegetation to hide. Ondori chose a bush, but disguised himself as a small squirrel using the transformation jutsu, while one other took to a tree, and the final ninja used the Invisibility Cloak technique to blend in with the tree the first ninja took to. All hidden well, they silently remained in position, watching those that rarely walked down the path to Kumogakure. The area was wide and open, just near the exit of the forest, so all who were hiding in the forest as they approached the village would be forced out into the open to find new means of stealth if they wished to stay hidden. In time many came by, but none seemed out of the ordinary save for one duo. Both big in stature, they wore odd headbands that belonged Otogakure. Purple haori's over short kimono's, their allegiance was foreign. As a squirrel Ondori fled into the depths of his bush, then dispelled his transformation as soon as he used the Hiding Like a Mole Technique. Perfect timing allowed for his dispelling of the transformation to cause no change to his surroundings. Traveling tot he gates, he explained the situation and the Anbu ninja fixated his mask, then with Ondori headed to the situation. Both the ninja's were conversing with the Otogakure ninjas, but the air was obviously tense and their tone was hostile. "Sara Fubiyashi! We know she is here and this village is harboring a wanted woman! Allow us entry!" Ondori grew nervous, for Sara was currently traveling with him and was in the village in his apartment at this very moment. The Anbu Cell Leader stepped up and in front of the other two then spoke grimly. "This isn't an issue now, but one more step towards those gates and it is. Once you have word from the Otokage and approval form the Raikage, you may enter our village. Until then search elsewhere." The ninja's hesitated and Ondori felt combat would ensue, but it did not and they left without more words.

"Good response with not immediately resorting to combat. This situation and training session went well. See you again tomorrow again for the same exercise." Ondori nodded and the ninja commanded them to return to the village before him in case the Otogakure ninja got wily and returned. Warning the gate guards of what happened, for now the occurrence was diffused, but everyone in the vicinity was on guard and was extra heavy on checks with travelers who entered.

Spoiler:

The sun had set then rise from the day before. It was time to repeat yesterday's training and hopefully rise successful to proceed to the next training task that would begin next week for those who passed this one. The meeting place was the same, but rather than being early Ondori had did some studying and learned early was not the correct time to arrive. On time was, timing was everything in the A.N.B.U. association and being early could foil plans, just as being late could. With that in mind, Ondori loomed around the meeting spot until 2:15 rolled around and like the ninja yesterday did he appeared in a blur. The Anbu Cell Leader and the other ninja already present while both Ondori and his other partner arrived in unison. "Good, you've caught on. To you . . ." The masked ninja directed his eyes to the ninja who had come early again. "Don't make the mistake of arriving early again. On time, on time is the only time we accept. Timing in key in the Anbu Corps and you being early can be detrimental to a future task Anbu or not." The ninja seemed startled upon being told to not be early, but he nodded and they proceeded out the field just like yesterday, but not before mission briefing. "Are we doing the same thing? Yes, but you will still be briefed and you will still listen. Your task is to act as the first net of awareness for your village. Hidden from sight, but still present. You will be watching the roads of Kumogakure, but this time in the forestry. A new Anbu Training Cell haven taken our spot previous used, this group is now to watch the forest. Though the mission says the roads, in the forest the roads are never used by ninjas. Scout the forest, ignore the roads, am I understood?" Just like the day before the trio nodded and they dispersed. This time the ninja who was still arriving early volunteered to act as the one to go back and warn others in case engagement was needed. Ondori and the other ninja shared a look, then nodded in unison and the role was delegated to him.

Speeding quickly down the road taking a detour of course, they entered the forest together. Split lightly in a spread, they took refuge in the canopy above. Looking to Ondori the Special Jounin nodded. Closing his eyes to focus he used his chakra sensing to scan the area and he found two signatures in the forest, not moving, but stationary. They were fairly powerful as well. "Got two about 70-80m out due South East." With that they set out to see who these people were and upon arriving they found it was the Sound Duo from yesterday. Silently moving back in the cover of the canopy where they had been the whole time, Ondori sent off the ninja who was chosen to inform the others of the threat. "This isn't one we want to engage in, lets wait." Ondori whispered to his partner, but he seemed persistent on engaging, reasoning with it was what they were told to do. Which he was right, but it seemed foolish, their abilities were unknown, but they seemed powerful. Regardless of his pleas, the ninja proceeded to engage, opening combat with the toss of two demon wind shuriken, one at each ninja.

"Eh?" Both easily avoided the shuriken that were tossed and immediately entered a hostile state. The ninja who tossed them then relocated his position, to a spot behind the two Otogakure non, but still in the forest. The sound of him rustling forestry was evident and commanded the foes to look in such a direction, luckily away from Ondori who shook his head. If a ninja is to die from his mistakes, may his teammates not die with him. That was a code of Anbu to prevent ninjas from dying trying to save their comrades for making foolish moves. The others arriving, the other anbu ninja intervened and the four together made short work of the two Otogakure ninja. The altercation ending in both being slain, then the Anbu ninja using Body Destruction on their corpses before lecturing the ninja who engaged. Commands were commands, but common sense was a whole other thing. Ondori took this note and wrote it in his notebook once he got home while he told Sara of the encounter, but that the ninja had been slain.
