The forest was thick, most of the open space obscured by the masses of thin bamboo trees and occasional shrubs here and there. The ground beneath them was dirty and brown, but it was flatter than a plate, with very little bumps and curves visible. This made it all the more pleasant to run on. Speaking of running, a young, 12-year old girl was doing so this very moment. Her steps were quiet, but fast paced. Tarahi's winced in pain every now and then when the pain of running bare-footed was too much for the girl, and would have a short rest before beginning again, continuing the cycle. A soft breeze would suddenly appear, gently blowing back her messy pink hair, and causing her plain black kimono to shake a bit.

"This feels great," she spoke in her soft, innocent voice, relishing the fresh sensation which surged through her body as the breeze came, "Thanks mister wind." Though no reply came, Tarahi considered the whistling of the dying breeze a "You're welcome" from the wind, and continued her running. She didn't know why she continued running, though she enjoyed it. Tarahi always got a certain thrill out of the exercise, and right now, there was no other place she would rather be.

"It seems that these people don't aren't even curious about things anymore." Kaseki held the garments over his arm. He had gone to a tailor to get all of his work done. It was mostly for himself, but more for his new group. He began to wander back in the abandoned village of sound. He figured no one would come there for a while. It would serve as a temporary home for him. After all, that's where Kaseki's Cave lay.

The New Akatsuki cloaks were pilled over his arm. No more than a dozen, for him, his puppets and his people. They were made in all sizes. He wandered through the bamboo, thinking about how he must have appeared to the world now that he was no longer physically a human. He began to whistle some hymm he remembered from an earlier time. It brought back memories of love and freedom. Something he was going to recreate. "Thank you mister wind!"

Kaseki turned to correct the forest, "I'm Kaseki, not Mister Wind..." He rose his finger to interrupt the sound, his eyes closed... but not for long. His lids slowly parted to reveal a small girl running towards him. "... How... Pink."  He thought to himself.

In a moments notice he would find himself knocked down. The girl had no control over her pace, nor direction. She had crashed into him and knocked his robes aside. But it was only chance that she had fallen too. He could see her dirt-bitten feet. She must have been running for some time. But what did she run from? Why did she run? Was she chasing a dream?

Perhaps... she would chase the same dream as Kaseki. The dream of a would full of.... fun.

Tarahi barely had time to register the person in front of her, and being very young, she probably would have been unable to stop anyways. The best she could do was sluggishly veer to the left so that she only impacted with half of her body. Her eyes closed in pain as the girl struck something much harder than a person's body. It felt much more like wood or some sort of metal. However, the young girl didn't have time to think about it as she fell face-first onto the dirty ground.

She remained still on the ground, her body in a slightly slumped position. Though her face hurt, she wasn't crying, and instead of instantly getting up and apologizing to whatever it was she hit, Tarahi simply lay there, thinking.

Maybe it was a tree.. She thought, remembering that the body of whatever she had struck felt like wood, Or maybe it was a piece of metal...or a metal tree....

Curiosity overcame her, and she wrenched her body up, her face and kimono still stained by the brown dust of the floor. But she spared no time to wipe them off, she didn't really care much about hygiene. Instead, she vigorously turned her head from left to right, scanning her area for whatever she had hit. She then turned and found herself face-to-face with a peculiar creature, certainly one she had yet to see or hear of.

Though not afraid, she was interested. It looked like a man, but it was covered in other materials. Maybe it was a puppet? Communication was the best option, obviously.

"Hello!"

And for safe measures, she stretched out her index finger and poked the thing's forehead.

He lay there, facing the sky and the tops of the bamboo grass. There was no point in getting up to pick up the clothing, it was dirty. Picking it up in the next few seconds, minutes or even hours would not make a difference. "Hello." the girl said, poking his head.

He would have instinctively bit her finger, but he knew better. His skin was wooden, at least in structure, and reflected bits of the sun that was cast through the bamboo. It was like a sword in the hands of a noble knight before he ran into battle. But the shine on the sword was on a human-like creature that lay before a girl. However, one part of him did not shine, and that was the bone mask that had become part of his face.

"Having fun?" Kaseki asked the girl. He would have asked her to help pick up the robs so he could leave and go on his way, but something peeked his curiosity. It was no longer about why or where or what made her want to run, but where she was running to. He had to know. But in time.

Tarahi, much to her pleasure (and perhaps surprise), received a response from the...whatever it was. She poked it once more, than stared, wondering what to say.

"Yes, Tarahi is having a lot of fun."

She could not help but flash a small smile at the creature, for no real reason but out of pure pleasure and curiosity. The fact that this thing was speaking meant it was sentient. Maybe Tarahi could have some fun today, instead of just run around a lot.

"So..." she spoke, processing each and every word through her head as she did so, resulting in a rather slow sentence, "Who....are...you?"

(Please excuse the short post, I am feeling rather lazy today.)

Kaseki sighed as the girl seemed to find joy in poking away at his skull. "My name is Kaseki, and what is yours?"

There was an odd feeling that Kaseki was about to do something extremely stupid and foolish. For no reason at all, he felt as if it was chance that led the girl to him. Perhaps she would be the final member of the Akatsuki... er, second to last.

"... And where are you running to?" he asked. He led his curiosity get the best of him. But he had to know

"Tarahi's name is Tarahi! What else is Tarahi's name gonna be, silly?"

Despite having entered a trance of curiosity and confusion, the young girl seemed to have returned to her usual excitable, giddy self, and it completely escaped her mind that whatever she was speaking to may not even be human. Her tone seemed to change from innocently interested to childishly mocking as she addressed what should have been an obvious answer in her eyes.

"Where are you running to?"

Tarahi had almost forgotten that running is what she had been dong prior to meeting this peculiar thing, and seemed to have forgotten herself where she was running to.

"Oh, Tarahi doesn't really know. Probably somewhere nice."

Kaseki could only guess that her past was as torn apart as his was. He wasn't even sure how to feel about who he was anymore. All he could do was offer her a chance to choose her own fate. There was nothing to hide, she had already seen Kaseki's true face.

"Then why doesn't Tarahi run away with Kaseki to join the Akatsuki?" he asked.

There was nothing more to it, it was just the start to his group. He was going to change the world by making a villainous name heroic. They would protect the Bijuu.

"Okay"

The answer came instantaneous, without thought. Granted, in hindsight, Tarahi may have had doubts on whether answering so quickly was smart, but it was not an answer she regretted. At the time, the offer had seemed fun, and despite not even being human, this Keseki character seemed nice enough, even if he did happen to slightly resemble the Grimm Reaper. Her answer, however, was truthful. She would join this akatsuki, whatever it was, and enjoy it, showing her innocence with a smile on her face.
