The beating sun was high in the sky, it's alignment signifying it was still early in the noon in Kumogakure. Underneath this brilliant orb of heat was a Genin who had found a secluded area in the training grounds to go about his training. Beyond the bushes and through a small thicket of trees, there lied the perfect clearing. Some knew about the spot, but those that discovered it kept it a well kept secret to avoid the space being crowded. Crowded by training ninja, lounging civilians, or even tourist, because to be honest the spot was beautiful. A low lying waterfall that was only about fifteen ft high so the continuous roaring it created wasn't anything to draw in people outside the area. This water fall fed into a small stream that continued for 20m until opening into a wide and vast circle of water. The stream was only 5m wide, but the circular body of water was about 20m in diameter on the other end it continued to flow as a stream all the way to a drop off that lead to an ocean. The bodies of water were about 10m deep each. The walls of the waterfall was rocky and had a decent amount of protrusions sticking out that could be used for rock climbing exercises for smaller ninja. The ground itself was nice low-cut grass, but near the stream it became nothing but tan grassless earth. Outside this clear grassy terrain is where the domesticated forest of Kumogakure were and they spanned for a great length, another reason the area isn't well known.

On either side of the stream -since both sides are mirrors- was the young, but driven Ondori Nara. Normally he wore something that covered most of his features, but today he wore an open short sleeved jacket that was cut off directly at his waist. Underneath was the typical shinobi fishnet shirt. His legs were covered in your common shinobi pants as well, then shinobi sandals as well. Once more He told himself in his mind as he formed three hand seals. Dragon->Tiger->Rat The shadow that he naturally cast like other objects in this world then began to tremble as he held the Rat kata and it sped along the ground for quite the distance, until he paused and brought it back close to his shadow. Taking in a patient breath as his eyes closed, he reciprocated the action and began to manipulate the trailing shadow once more, but this time he wanted to challenge himself. Snaking the shadow that was shaped like a hand in a swift manner, it suddenly took off at a quick speed once it reached the stream. Covering the full five meter width of the stream on top of the water, Ondori was satisfied with his mastery over the jutsu and he dispelled the jutsu. As if the sun's rays dissolved the shadowy extension, the ebony phased out of existence and Onodri released the Rat kata. Good work.

It was indeed a beautiful day in Kumogakure, the past few days had been plagued by rain, while before that it had been snowing. Even in winter the temperature of the village could reach heights of 60 degrees F, making this village like a woman on her period, unpredictable as fuck. Birds here have adapted to the weather changes, almost as if they can tell when the weather would begin to change. When it was going to be warm for a while, flocks of birds would soar into the trees and rush to build these elaborate nest, that bundle heat well. They'd then lay eggs, and when it would eventually get cold, they'd bury these well constructed nest either inside of a tree, or in a cave, then leave for a warmer area. And of course when it became warm again, the eggs hatched and the parents taught them to fly as fast as possible in order to escape the cold. Many eggs never hatched because the extreme temperature changes, so the birds would lay at least 10 eggs at a time, and constantly mated. Juri Han, the current Raikage, would tease about how Kumo birds lived the nice life. Just having sex and flying off on honeymoons every other week.

At the moment Juri was quite bored. She had a lot of paperwork to do, meeting to attend and people to lecture. None of this seemed appealing right now, but she realized it had to be done eventually. Maybe a training day would help clear her mind, she still had things to brush up on. "Maybe I'll see if I can find some ninja at the hipster spot to mess with." she says to herself with a grin. So from her office the woman disappears, her two ANBU guards following. This little hidden spot where ninja who thought they were 'too cool for school', was rarely used, but when it was, the look on the person's face when Juri appeared was priceless. So beyond the bushes and through a small thicket of trees, Juri Han found the young genin, Ondori. He was alone, training his Nara techniques. Juri smiles, Nara clan members have strong techniques. An ability to control one's actions through their shadow? Kinda peter pansy, but powerful none the less. "Hey." Juri says waving at the young kid. "I'm kinda bored, want some training or something?" she says, her ANBU guards snickering behind their masks. Juri was about 5 meters to the boy's right, a large amount of trees at her back, hiding her shadow with their own.

Back into the dimension of his thoughts, he dwelled on what to train next, but a voice summoned him from the depths of his pink matter. "Hm?" He hummed in curiosity as he looked to his right to see a woman and two masked Anbu Ninja. Anbu . . . who's she? Ondori had just returned to Kumogakure after a four year hiatus so whoever this woman was escaped him, but she had to be someone important obviously. Seeing this as an opportunity to not only meet someone new and train, but to discover this person's mysterious identity, his brain wouldn't let him turn down the offer. "Yeah I suppose . . . you have anything in mind? If not we could just spar if that's okay with you." He stepped away from her, not cautiously, but as to give her space to take up more space in the clearing and not so much in the forest. Whoever she is, she makes me more uncomfortable than most do . . . maybe I'm getting into something nasty. He looked the woman's frame up and down and did the same to her Anbu Escorts if they were still in sight. It was needless to say the Genin was high on his guard during the whole altercation.

theme:

Juri could tell by this boy's face he had no idea who she was, which was kind of a relief. With all the stigma behind becoming Raikage, most people treat her different or hold back on their thoughts... which she realized was her fault for straight up scaring the living shit out of people that opposed her. Looking into the sky, the woman takes a mental note of the sun's placement, knowing the trees shadow will gradually change. Juri planned on using this sparring/training match to teach the boy how to use his environment to the fullest, which is weird because this is the first time they've met. Well it's not that weird, the Raikage really wants a student, maybe if this guy is good enough she can take him in. His muscles are undefined, so he's obviously not a Taijutsu user. She knows he's a Nara user (obviously) so this means his ninjutsu must be at least up to par to at least use B-ranked ninjutsu. Lucky for this guy, Juri just mastered ninjutsu about a week or two ago, her main specialties lied with medical ninjutsu and taijutsu. Zan and Zing stand back, staying out of the Raikage's range. "Yeah sparring sounds fun, I'm Juri by the way." She says, putting her right fist into her left hand, and bowing. Not even a second after bowing, the only thing this boy would see was a purple blur. Wind rushed off the woman's body, leaving behind a "WHOOSH" sound as she traveled such a short distance. Behind the Nara boy the woman would appear, sporting a giant grin. She'd attempt to tap the boy on the back of his shoulder, giggling while doing so. If successful she'd gleefully say "Tag, you're it!"

He watched as the woman looked into the sky. He had yet to register the meaning of this and wrote it off as simply checking the time. It was a skill that took a while to developed, but in time it became second nature to judge the time by the Sun's placement. Ondori could only guess up to the closest half hour, still an acceptable feat for a Genin, but moving on. Uncomfortably the Genin eyed the Anbu, until he noticed their movement halted and just the woman was acting now. Good no funny business. He thought as he watched his opponent agree to his spar and then dip for a bow. As he saw her body begin to descend he quickly moved to imitate the bow in a reciprocation of the respect, but a breeze whipping by him and a sound that followed, made him freeze in astonishment at the end of his movement. Damn she's fast! She won't make a fool out of me though. He thought as while he was in his bowed stance and the girl tapped his shoulder, his hands shifted to form the Rat seal. This movement would be hidden from sight of course given Juri was behind him and while being in such close range to the point she was touching him their shadows were already linked. There was no hesitation in such trivial actions and almost no thought was needed to carry them out. Success was practically guaranteed since Ondori had attempted to 'lock' the technique right away rather than allow the shadows to be intertwined and have no effect take place till later. "No you're it." Ondori would say as his frame rose and turned out of the bow as simultaneously dug a hand in his cloak and withdrew a kunai. This kunai would be in a sly compartment where the obviously less clothed Juri more than likely wouldn't find one at all, definitely given she'd be grabbing the air since she wore no cloak. Since he had turned to face his opponent, she would also turn, but not being an idiot, he turned in such a way that the hand she used to tap his shoulder wouldn't whip into him as he also rotated. The end result hopefully being Ondori with a kunai lifted to his opponents back so she could lightly feel the metal tip, while the other hand -his left- was lifted while open to show the Anbu Guards behind them he meant no true harm.

Juri laughs, even with this kid starting his jutsu the moment she began to move, the speed was so slow she could literally hop backwards and escape the technique. Now her shadow and his were touching. Still... Juri wanted to teach this young lad a lesson about the Shadow Possession Jutsu, while simultaneously testing a theory. With this being said, she tapped him on the shoulder and was caught in the technique. Zan and Zing became alert, but Zing patted Zan on the shoulder and shook his head. "Look close." he tells his partner. Smoothly, the Raikage's muscles begin to tense up. Ondori then begins to rise, draw a kunai and turn in one swift motion. He looked pretty cool doing so, kinda like a cop turning around to show his badge. Juri immediately knew she was caught in the Shadow Imitation Technique the moment she began to move involuntarily. Dem tensed muscles weren't for show though, she might not have seen the hand seal for the technique, but she did in fact see that this boy was a Nara user, and planned accordingly. With his spin around thingy, Juri began to follow, but forced herself to stop. She made sure to stay out of range of his kunai, so it didn't graze her while he spun. Once Ondori turned to face the Raikage he'd notice she was facing him with a smile. "Plan backfired eh?" she'd say, smiling ear to ear. What Ondori failed to realize, was that physically strong people can resist the technique. WHAT HE DIDN'T KNOW WAS THAT THE RAIKAGE WAS LITERALLY THE MOST PHYSICALLY STRONG PERSON ALIVE. Even without her Chakra enhancement, her strength could at least cause the boy to struggle with this technique. With Chakra Enhanced Strength Juri Han could dance under the influence of the technique. It didn't help that the boy hadn't maintained the rat hand seal, and was still currently holding a kunai about 5 inches away from Juri's now folded arms. "You can either try to control me again with the Shadow Imitation, or you can try to move out of my arms length before I tag you again, this time I'll add more pressure." she says sticking out her tongue.

Things were getting a bit more fun now for Ondori. He was half expecting this little ploy to wrap things up quickly and to end the spar, but he had placed a bit too much faith in his self perhaps or maybe he had underestimated his opponent. . . . no, he had surely underestimated this woman, as would anyone if they didn't know who she was. Guess my intuition on here being around Anbu level is right. At first glance he placed her as a Chunin, then reaccepted the fact she had Anbu with her, bumping her to Anbu before he was even witness to her blazing speed. When all his actions were underway, he knew for a fact her skill level would positively amount to A-Rank or higher. "Plan A backfired, but as a Nara we never put all our eggs in on basket." His voice was still calm as he looked Juri in her enigmatic eyes. They did little to stir his soul, though her presence did make him a bit uneasy. It was common for him to have a minor fear or to be cautious around the unknown, but something about the undeniable aura she exuded made Ondori more uncomfortable and more on his toes in the midst of the woman.

As his sentence ended, Ondori would drop his kunai while also leaping back and forming the Rat Kata to try to solidify his bind on the woman as long as he could. Regardless if the woman moved with Ondori or not, was irrelevant, he wouldn't let this plan -his backup plan- be forged around the incapabilities or the capabilities of his enemy again. His kunai still in mid fall as he was touching down from hopping back approximately 6m would try to act solely as a minor obstacle for Juri, preventing any singular linear movement to reach Ondori, making it so the woman would at least have to side step or travel diagonally first before completing her approach. Only as a mean to give him time to react to the extreme speeds that she could reach. About a second after he landed from his back hop, the kunai would then firmly plant itself in the soil of the area and Ondori's shadow that was trailing up to Juri would fizzle away as he released it and released the Rat hand seal. I can't afford to blow through all of my chakra so early, I'll just have to feel the battle out a bit more before I make any major moves. As he thought this, he would have his eye steadily on the woman like he has the whole time, while also withdrawing two more kunai. One held in a back handed grip and the other front handed. "I'll let you lead the assault this time. Lets just hope I last to get an opportunity at winning." He was still mindful of the Anbu behind him since he had traveled closer to them, but majority of his focus was pit on Juri whom was in front of him.

"Nara users sure are interesting." Juri says squinting her eyes, looking directly into the boy's. "Plan A backfired, but as a Nara we never put all our eggs in on basket." He says, "It doesn't matter how many plans ya got kid, it'll take a divine intervention to stop me from 'tagging' you again." Juri retorts, licking her lips. She hadn't planned on staying long her, matters in Konoha were more pressing, but she did want to gain this child as one of her future apprentices. So the wise thing would be to impress the kid enough so he can be like "Juri-sama, please train me!" and all that. Eventually she wants her students to be like "Notice me senpai!" and say a bunch of other moe uber kawaii-desu bullshit so she can smack them into goons. Ondori jumps back and solidifies his rat hand seal in order to control Juri. While it does add more pressure and restricts some of her movements, it doesn't stop it all. For the young lad this is a problem. He also drops a kunai for whatever reason, and it apparently falls for a slow ass time. Juri don't care bout da bullshit, Juri just wants to spank dem cheeks. Once the boy jumps back, Juri follows, jumping over the falling kunai, and dispersing her shadow. She's about 10 feet in the air, so the technique at this point is completely broken. Juri lands about 3 meters in front of Ondori, smashing into the ground, causing a huge shockwave that forms a crater 20 meters in diameter, and 5 meters deep. There was no way this kid could move 20 meters in a second, so he'd have to jump up or fall. Either way Juri propels herself the moment she lands and destroys the environment to follow after the boy.

Still quick as ever his opponent moved yet again to another position, this time it was an aerial vantage point. Good, she ignored it. The Nara thought to himself with his target in the air and his kunai being left untouched. While the thought had went through his mind, Ondori utilized the Shadow Gathering Technique, something that lacks the requirement of hand seals and is pretty sly and useful if used correctly. His aim with this jutsu was to slip a single shadowy tendril into the ring of that kunai he dropped and to spike it directly into Juri's back and that is exactly what he attempted. His eyes locked on his airborne foe who was sky borne, but in between him and this remotely equipped kunai, Ondori watched to predict her path of travel. As soon as it was deciphered from her non-augmented descent beginning at ten feet high, the thin shadow tendril would toss the kunai like a dart to make the blade make contact with the woman in her lower back, beside her spine when she was no less than 4 feet high. Since she's not aiming for my exact location I guess this will be an area attack. It didn't take a genius to come to that conclusion.

Regardless if his kunai would hit Juri and halt her attack and the movement she planned to take after, Ondori would form the Ram hand seal and use the Body Flicker Technique to transport himself 30m to his own left. His feet would be about 3 feet above the ground to avoid suffering collateral damage from Juri's attack. At the end of his short lived journey he would find himself with chakra in the soles of his feet standing a few meters away from the edge of the circular body of water, that was now steadily losing liquid due to the damage Juri's attack caused.

If his thrown kunai didn't cancel Juri's plans to pursue Ondori, then while the Genin was traveling with the Shunshin, he'd form the Rat hand seal and hold it in preparation to utilize another jutsu if needed. I'm almost out of chakra, guess the next play will decide the out come of this. Ondori panted lightly as he was lightly winded, but still engaged in the scenario in all aspects.

Chakra Usage:

"Hm?" Juri hums as she begins her descent upon the ground. She heard a kunai flying through the sky towards her from behind, apparently the man had used a technique to toss it her way. Ondori had, in almost no time, cleared 6 meters and used a jutsu to toss a kunai at Juri's exposed back. His predictions were that he could somehow hit her while mid-air. Being a trained Taijutsu master meant doing things like moving really fast through the air, or having crazy reaction speeds. (fuck Newton) But all this didn't matter, what really mattered was the fact that this kid had no fucking aim. Juri could hear the kunai, but she couldn't turn her head, she had to focus on the boy. So she predicted the kunai would come somewhere near her lower back from the "swooshing" sound it made. Her arms move to intercept, but to her surprise, the kunai goes right pass the woman. Juri lands and the kunai somehow misses her body by 3 inches on her left side, flying randomly into the woods. She would try to raise an eyebrow or something, but she was too busy destroying the entire ground. Her ANBU guards began to laugh at the failed kunai toss, but stopped once they realized they had to move so they wouldn't fall into the crater. The young lad tries to form a hand seal with twin kunai, he fails and instead begins to fall into the crater. Juri decides if she should intervene, but realizes he's grown and can find her own way out of this pickle. She simply moves out of the way of the collapsing ground using her own sheer incredible speed. By move out of the way I mean she runs along the crashing earth like an action hero trying to get off a falling bridge. Juri now stands on the outskirts of the crater looking for the boy, trying to confirm if he's okay. A fall like that would bruise his ankles at most, nothing serious really.

A look of astonishment formed on his face as he witnessed his kunai whizz by his target and into the local forestry. Snickers from the Anbu behind him angered him lightly, but he had more important things to focus on. Like bracing himself for the brunt of Juri's attack. As she slammed into the earth the ground around her quickly gave way causing a massive range of devastation. "Shit." The Genin said as the rocks seemingly grab be shim by the ankles and him into the rubble. Juri's route of escape towards her own technique was a bit odd, but it was a shame Ondori wouldn't be able to witness it. Given that the shockwave and damage would begin from Juri's landing point, the damage to the earth would fan out from there. The fact that she would attempt to run to the end of the crater was where she made her mistake. As if the destruction was chasing her, she tried to run towards the safety zone, but in actuality it would look like she was chasing the rubble and with her levels of speed, boy did she catch up. Whether she was sucked into the rubble like Ondori was or her foot simply dug into the crumbled bits of earth was in the air to be decided, but she would be suffering in one way or another no matter how minor it was.

Out of the rubble Ondori's dusty and scraped up slightly bloody hand would surface. Pushing on the rubble to hoist himself up, the Genin's head would then surface and he'd cough a few times to relief himself of all the dust in his throat and mouth. His second arm breaking through the surface he'd then push the rest of his body out of the terrain damage, to rise wearily to his feet. I can't keep making silly mistakes like this. He had dropped his kunai in the altercation of being buried alive, so now his hands were free and what he did with them was form the Rat hand seal. No jutsu was executed, just a single hand seal was formed in preparation to counter attack his much superior opponent, wherever she was. The rubble was still a bit shaky, but Ondori figured if he stayed in such an unstable area, Juri's taijutsu wouldn't be as effective since she wouldn't be able to have much of a stable stance and balance would be an issue if trying to try any tricky movement.

A display of speed like the legendary Juri Han could only come from someone who had mastered her art to perfection. Being this good in Taijutsu was something only a handful of people could ever obtain, putting the young Raikage in the same category of people such as Rock Lee and the Taijutsu God, Might Gai. Of course those two reached a level beyond mastery, but doing so meant they had to sacrifice almost everything else. While this would have made Juri the greatest Taijutsu user of all, it meant she couldn't heal her companions the same anymore, and she couldn't have this. With this being said, she move along the falling earth with swift speeds, almost cartoonish speeds it seemed. Even if she somehow fell with the earth, she'd find her balance quickly and with her sheer strength could fight her way through the earth and find her way out of the crater. Once she reached her destination outside of the crater she'd look upon her new friend as he laid nearly buried under earth and would smile. "Oh so you're okay, you're a tough kid I'll give you that. Hey when you're done dusting yourself off come to my office so I can find you some work, we need more kids like you, that actually are skilled and aiming to make themselves better. Kumogakure has been lazy for far too long." As she says this the woman begins walking away, her ANBU guards quickly rush to escort her away. Both behind her, Zan to the left and Zing to the right. "Remember it's Juri Han." she says waving, yet still walking back towards the village. Ondori was indeed a strong person for only a Genin, his talent impressed even the Raikage. Maybe one day he could become a valued aspect, a person that could change the world. For now he has much to learn.

Ondori eyed his opponent steadily but then noticed her guard had fallen. Not like she sustained much of one throughout the fight given Ondori was rarely on the offensive, but the shift to casual mannerisms was noted. The Genin wouldn't drop his guard yet however, he was quite the reluctant sole and never enjoyed being fooled, so his would remain, Rat hand seal and all. She spoke to him and gave him praises, which he appreciated, but he much rather had had some criticism, something to improve upon, but that was up to him to decipher, Juri was no teacher after all. Noting this truly was the end of the spar, the Rat hand seal was finally released and Ondori carefully sat in the rubble that was created as he watched Juri rejoin her Anbu Guards. They were two fellows he didn't like much for some reason and whenever he didn't like people for an unknown reason it usually meant something. Regardless he observed as the trio left him in the training area alone with moderate injuries to be treated. Some way to spar . . . guess I can call this day of training wasted. The Nara was exhausted, physically more so and a bit injured. Then not to mention he had expended the greater part of his chakra reserves so he called it a day and went to get his small injuries treated at a clinic for safety's sake.
