Story
It's been five generations after the first war between Samurai and Shinobi. The five villages were founded shortly after and there has never been a war between them. Until now, all five villages have been off limits to the outside world, however the gates have been opened and ninja were allowed to travel between. But suddenly, kage are falling ill and no one knows who's behind it. The Hokage and Raikage both lie in comatose state, awaiting an answer as to what put them there.

Creation of NPC will be limited to people of choice of an admin. Should you need to make one, request so from an admin.

NPC are to follow all rules given to PC unless stated otherwise. NPC are not allowed to own limited jutsu. NPC created by users are required to Earn and Train their jutsu just like a PC, however will  receive a starting Ryo amount just like a PC. NPC cannot be used in combat unless there is IC reason for them to be there, and you are outnumbered and outranked. NPC creations are to be titled with their name, and tagged with [NPC]

GFX - Headers Chakra10

The amount of chakra each ninja has depends entirely on the rank that they are as well as a few other key factors. Aside from your starting rank, there are a few ways to increase your chakra. One can be using an item such as a chakra pill. Another is to train it. You can gain 15 CP (Chakra Points) by creating posts dedicated to chakra training; you will acquire 15 CP for every one thousand words you write. This method of training can only be done up to ten times. Upon a rank up, you keep chakra training boosts. The last way is to have a Bijuu. The chakra you gain from a Bijuu will be decided based on the Bijuu you are allowed.

S Rank: 500 CP
A Rank: 400 CP
B Rank: 325 CP
C Rank: 250 CP
D Rank: 150 CP
E Rank: 30 CP

Jutsu Costs:

The cost of a jutsu depends on the rank of the jutsu. Jutsu that last more than one turn will have to pay a predesignated upkeep depending on the rank.

E Rank: 5 Chakra
D Rank: 15 Chakra
C Rank: 25 Chakra
B Rank: 40 Chakra
A Rank: 60 Chakra

Upkeep Costs
These are costs on jutsu that are "lasting". These require upkeep every two turns. These costs are not affected by your stat in that class and receive no cost reductions.

Adept: E ranks free; 30% Reduction on techs D-B;  15% on techs A

When it comes to learning a new jutsu, it takes either Ryo that can be earned from missions or events or stuff (lol). The other method would be to train the jutsu with a specific word count given dependant on the rank of the jutsu. Below the pricing/WC needed to acquire jutsu

E Rank: Free
D Rank: 100 Ryo/250 WC
C: Rank: 200 Ryo/500 WC
B Rank: 500 Ryo/750 WC
A Rank: 750 Ryo/1000 WC

Gaining New Elements:
The cost and training to gain a new element depends entirely on how many elements you already have. Multiple elements can be mixed to create advanced elements, however they will require a Kekkei Genkai

Second Element: 500 Ryo+1500 WC
Third Element: 2500 Ryo+2000 WC
Fourth Element: 4000 Ryo+3000 WC
Fifth Element: 10000 Ryo+5000 WC

GFX - Headers Miss10

The amount of money you can gain on a mission depends on the rank of the mission. To complete the mission, you must use a certain WC dedicated to completing the mission. The followings are maximum prices for those types of missions. Any value below can also be used. Items or rewards may also be given during missions.

D Rank: 200 Ryo/500 Words
C Rank: 400 Ryo/900 Words
B Rank: 600 Ryo/1200 Words
A Rank: 800 Ryo/1300 Words
S Rank: 1000 Ryo/1500 Words

Missions done with other players offer a 25% Ryo increase as well as a 25% Word count decrease
Certain Missions can be assigned by staff or village Kage offering more than the standard rewards, however, they must be approved by an admin and have good reason.

Missions aren't the only way that you can gain money! You can also gain Ryo by roleplaying with others, though it won't be as much. However, it helps with your character development. There are two conditions however. The first is that it cannot be part of a training thread. The second is that it cannot be part of a thread that already gives Ryo. Below are the amounts that are available for gain.

Writing by yourself: 10 Ryo for every 100 Words

Writing with someone else: 15 Ryo for every 100 Words

Writing with at least one other squad member: 20 Ryo for every 100 words

*No extra ryo can be gained once a WC is passed for training or any other Ryo gaining source thread. *

GFX - Headers Summo12
Summons are creatures that are existed in the real world but are capable of transporting to the user's area to help in combat. Users can only have one summoning contract. Considering they are separate entity's they have their own chakra pool and do not cost an upkeep after the initial summon.

Summons will:



  • Be able to have up to 2 Chakra natures, no advanced natures
  • Have a chakra pool of one rank lower than their rank
  • Be able to learn up to five jutsu
  • Have CS capable of shinobi one rank lower than their rank. (I.e.- An S rank summon will have A rank CS capability)



As for acquiring summoning contracts, you must write 1000 words establishing a contract between you and the summon of your choice.

D Rank: 500 Ryo - Can learn 1 Jutsu - Has one element - Active for 15 Posts
C Rank: 750 Ryo - Can learn 2 Jutsu - Has one element - Active for 13 Posts

Combat Skills are used to define the capabilities of each character. You are not very limited when it comes to using combat skills, however you will have to follow certain guidelines given, seeing as no one can be a master at everything. The ability you have to master CS depends entirely on your ninja rank as well as how much you're willing to type to rank that skill up. The rank of your shinobi determines the amount and degree of your specialties. There is no limit on how many novice and intermediate specialties on can have.

D Rank: Up to  2 Adept
C Rank: Up to 2 Adept
B Rank: Up to 1 Mastery and 2 Adept
A Rank: Up to 2 Mastery and 3 Adept (or 1 Specialty and 1 Intermediate, no other CS.)
S Rank: Up to 3 Mastery and 3 Adept (or 1 Specialty and 1 Adept, no other CS.)

Note: Specialists do not follow the above rules. They may only have one mastery and one adept at max, however they are far superior to that of 90% of other ninja.

GFX - Headers Ninju10
Ninjutsu is the art of manifesting chakra into physical, generally elemental, substances. These can be used for attacks, defenses and just about anything that you can imagine. Specializing in this field will increase your Ninjutsu power as well as how fast you can form hand seals.

Basic: User has no training, receives no discounts, and can only use no jutsu within this class.

B1 -> N1 = 250 WC: The user can now use E rank techs. The user is now a novice.

Novice: User has light training, meaning they can use the most basic of the basic techs. The user is able to use techs Rank E to C. The user will receive a 10% chakra discount on all techs of this class. Techs do regular damage.

N1 -> N2 = 150 WC: The user can now use D Rank Techs
N2 -> N3 = 200 WC: The user can now use C rank Techs. The user will receive 10% Chakra discounts on E-C rank Techs.
N3 -> I1 = 250 = The user is now intermediate level.

Intermediate: User has adequate training in this field, allowing them to use more complex techniques. The user can not use techs up to B rank, allowing them to further utilize techs of higher ranks. With an appropriate teacher, the user can learn techniques up to A rank. The user will receive a 20% discount on all techs in this class. Techs now do 1.2x more damage than that of the average. User can now form three hand signs in one second.

I1 -> I2b = 300 WC: The user can now use B rank Techs
I2 -> I3 = 350 WC: The user now does 1.2x more damage than that of the average. The user's techs E-B in this class now cost 20%. The user can learn A rank techs from a teacher.
I3 -> A1 = 400 WC: The user is now Adept Level

Adept: User is better than average in the given field and is able to use techs up to A rank. E rank jutsu are now free, requiring no jutsu cost. Techniques D-B will be reduced by 30%. A rank techniques will be reduced by 15%. Techs are now 1.4x stronger than that of the average. User can now form five hand signs in one second

A1 -> A2 = 500 WC: E rank techs are now free. Techs D-B are now 30% less chakra cost.
A2 -> A3 = 550 WC: A rank costs now cost 15% less. Techs are now 1.4x stronger than that of the average
A3 -> M1 = 650 WC: The user is now master level

Master: The user has full understanding of the field given. The user can use any technique within this field, given that it is not limited and they have trained/purchased said tech. D rank techs are now free. 50% reduction on techs C-A. S ranks now cost 25% less. Techs can do up to 1.6x damage. User can now form seven hand signs in one second. Can train for one handed hand seals.

M1 -> M2 = 700 WC: Can use Techs up to S rank. The user is now allowed to teach techs of this class to others. D rank techs are now free.
M2 -> M3 = 800 WC: Techs C-A are 50% off chakra costs. S ranks cost 25% less. Techs now do 1.6x that of the average The user can now train for one handed sealing. This requires a 3k WC thread explaining the development of this abilit.
M3 -> S1 = 3000 WC: User cannot have mastery in any other field. User can only be adept in one other class.

Specialist: The user has trained their entire life to become the best of the best in this category. However, they have sacrificed their training in other fields to become the best within this field. However, they don't suffer too much given that they are now renowned as gods of this class. Techs can now do up to 2.0x That of the average. They receive a 75% reduction in chakra costs on all jutsu C-B as well as a 50% reduction on A and S ranks. User can now form ten hand signs in one second

S1 = Techs do 2.0x damage. C-B cost 75% less. A and S cost 50% less.

GFX - Headers Combat11
Taijuitsu is the art of focusing one's chakra into their physical strengths such as speed, defense and strength. This particular field allows user's to use a rare ability known as Hachimon, however the technique is limited. This field allows ninja to become stronger and faster.

Basic: User has no training, receives no discounts, and can only use no jutsu within this class. They are basically the biggest weaklings possible.

B1 -> N1 = 250 WC: The user can now use E rank techs. The user is now a novice.

Novice: User has light training, meaning they can use the most basic of the basic techs. The user is able to use techs Rank E to C. The user will receive a 10% chakra discount on all techs of this class. User is average speed and has average strength.. The user can now lift weights equal to his own.

N1 -> N2 = 150 WC: The user can now use D Rank Techs. The user's basic punches won't leave marks, but anyone with Taijutsu of basic or lower will feel a bit of pain.
N2 -> N3 = 200 WC: The user can now use C rank Techs. The user will receive 10% Chakra discounts on E-C rank Techs. The user can lift weights equal to himself.
N3 -> I1 = 250 = The user is now intermediate level.

Intermediate: User has adequate training in this field, allowing them to use more complex techniques. The user can not use techs up to B rank, allowing them to further utilize techs of higher ranks. Genjutsu is the art of using chakra to manipulate one's mind. It should be noted that while under a Genjutsu that transports one's mentality, they are not allowed to be attacked by the caster of the Genjutsu. Any acts doing so will be considered godmodding.

Basic: User has no training, receives no discounts, and can only use no jutsu within this class. The user is extremly vulnerable to genjutsu.

B1 -> N1 = 250 WC: The user can now use E rank techs. The user is now a novice.

Novice: User has light training, meaning they can use the most basic of the basic techs. The user is able to use techs Rank E to C. The user will receive a 10% chakra discount on all techs of this class. Techs do regular damage.

Sensory is the ability to locate other ninjas in the surrounding area. This is usually used with the basic sensing techs, though custom techs can be made. Sensory and masking techniques must be trained or purchased.

Basic: User cannot mask their chakra or sense others.

B1 -> N1 = 100 WC

Novice: User can mask their sense from those of Basic sensory. User can sense up to 20m with Sensing.

N1 -> N2 = 150 Words; User can now hide from Basic sensors
N2 -> N3 = 200 Words; User can now sense 20m
N3 -> I1 = 250 Words; User is now Intermediate

Intermediate: User can now mask their chakra from those of Novice sensory. User can sense up to 50m with Sensing.

B Rank: Up to 1 Mastery and 2 Adept
A Rank: Up to 2 Mastery and 3 Adept (or 1 Specialty and 1 Adept)
S Rank: Up to 3 Mastery and 3 Adept (or 1 Specialty and 2 Adept)

Note: Specialists do not follow the above rules. They may only have one mastery and one adept, however they are far superior to that of 90% of other ninja.

Every character is allowed a set number of ninja weapons as well as tools. This number depends solely on your Bukijutsu skill. Upon leveling your Bukijutsu skill up, you will receive a few free weapons and items. No catch. Note, no character can wield weapons or armor higher than their own rank, excluding legendary items (event items)

Primary weapons are weapons used more heavily for combat. These are generally larger and less expendable. This would include swords, hammers, fans and anything that one would use more often than not. These take one slot. Secondary weapons are those that are easily expendable and replaced. These include shuriken, paper bombs, kunai and anything that one expends. This can also include pills. These take 1/10th of a slot. Armor is any piece that covers the user protecting them from enemies. Each of these take one slot. Each piece of Armor can either cover the head, torso, upper arms, lower arms and hands, or legs and feet. No article of armor may cover more than one of these, however suits of armor can be made.

The following shows how many weapons and armor spots each ninja can possess at a time, based on their Bukijutsu skill.

Basic: Cannot use primary weapons. Can use 1 slot of secondary weapons. Cannot use armor.
Novice: Can carry one primary weapon. Can use 1 secondary slot. Can use one piece of armor.
Intermediate: Can carry one primary weapon. Can use 2 secondary slots. Can use two pieces of armor
Adept: Can carry two primary weapons. Can use 3 secondary slots. Can use two pieces of armor

GFX - Headers Trav10

Traveling is the way one ninja goes from one location to the next. Travel threads will need to be made including the [Travel] tag within the title. It will take exactly 12 hours of real time before you arrive in the location that you are traveling to. After 12 hours you will be considered in that location. However the thread can be invaded by someone else trying to attack your party.

To travel you must:
*Have permission IC from your Kage or OOC from staff. Should you not have IC permission, you will be considered a missing nin.
*Post a thread at the village gates, explaining your exit before leaving
*Have a Jounin escort. This rule only applies to Genin

Rules for Interception:
*The number of people attacking the travelers cannot surpass that of the travelers.
*Must have IC reason
*Must be available for travel
*Must be within 3 Ranks of each other
*Once the interception starts, neither party can escape the topic for five posts, though they are still able to evade. After five posts, if someone is physically able to exit the thread without the pursuer able to follow, they will be permitted to leave.

GFX - Headers Invas10
Invasions are the act of attacking villages or strongholds. These will require the invader(s) to include a [Invasion] tag in the title of the thread. Upon any invasion, the target location has 72 hours to round up all of their ninja to defend. After the 72 hour mark, the attacker should then make an infiltration post, including the [Infiltration] tag in the title. This topic is open and cannot be closed. However, should a location have less than 5 active characters, staff will roleplay as the defenders of the target, often as a group of Anbu and/or the Daimyo of the area. Death will be enabled in all invasion situations. Upon the victory of the land, you will have the choice of claiming the land for yourself or for your country.
