Spoiler:

Finally it was time. The reason the four Kumogakure Chunin had come to the Land of Water and found refuge in the walls of Kirigakure. After about three weeks filled with regularly completing mission in the Land of Water, slyly the four had chosen assignments that would feed them the information they needed for the wit main assignment and the real reason they had come out to the large island. The Requiem. They were a group of rouge ninjas from many villages all over the world and not just the major villages of , Konohagakure, Sunagakure, Kirigakure, Kumogakure, and Iwagakure, but many of the minors as well. Amegakure, Yukigakure, Otogakure, Hoshigakure, Kusagakure, the list could probably continue to go on, but what this meant was that this criminal organization had not only diversity, but broad knowledge. All these different ninja from all over coming together, though they were still in their budding stages and in their teens, in the future it could truly become a large scale issue. The four felt obliged to be assigned such a task and they also knew that such a task could not be failed. Not only would it bring dishonor to their village, but it'd give another village an opportunity to take such a task that could be rich in worldly information.

As a cell of ninja's would do with any major task like this one, the four first converged in a huddle miles away from their destination to go over their plan, they had made back in Kirigakure the same morning. Ondori being the strategical mind had laid out a strategy for the team leader to overview and tweak as he saw fit, then to present to the rest. "Ok, so it's simple what our task is, but the execution is what must be managed precisely. Due to our scouting reports and based on the profiles of certain suspects, we've pinpointed the location of a popular spot where the Requiem members rendezvous. Ondori as or support fighter and sensor, you'll stay back in the forest in case things go stale. The rest of us will plant ourselves in the bar and try to figure out who the rest of the members of the Requiem are or to trail them back to their location once our confirmed target leaves, understood?" The other Chunin nodded and with that, the cell took off towards the bar. Each of them wore travel cloaks, but of course not matching in any way to give away they belonged to the same organization themselves. Sure they could be depicted as friends, but anything more than that cold be detrimental to the mission.

One tan cloak Suji, one White Cloak Bato, one Brown cloak Ishida, then a black cloak being Ondori. Trailing the three from a distance of 20m and in a level of the forest higher than his allies, Ondori played the role of the over watcher. From this position in the event conflict indued, he'd still have the jump on the enemy as his three allies engaged the target or targets head on. After ten more minutes, the group had finally arrived to the bar and Ondori remained back. Hidden in the forestry that surrounded the establishment as his allies proceeded inside. Though the sun beamed bright above, skillfully Ondori positioned himself in such away in the canopy, he was hidden by a large bush of leaves and rested in the cool shadow of the visual obstruction. On the inside of the bar, his allies seated themselves and spent time falsely socializing amongst themselves as they scanned the patrons. Their confirmed contact was easy spotted and with him were others and quickly they discovered a trait they shared. "Check that . . . his shoulder, the back of her leg, his forearm . . . matching tattoos." The others took note and continued to look for more customers of the bar who had identical markings. Soon enough only five were dubbed as members of the Requiem and the signal to leave was given. With that the three exited the bar, before their targets did and they split to occupy the four cardinal directions but, one headed to Ondori who was already occupying one. Informing him on the situation, the Suji went to take his position as the four lied hidden in wait for their targets to exit the bar. Their task now to tail them to their hideout. With the four cardinal directions occupied, no matter the direction they went, they'd be able to be pursued and the others would be able to catch up. A strategical positioning system set up by Ondori after reading a few Anbu Manuals.

Spoiler:

Many had went in and out the establishment, but none were the one dubbed as part of the Requiem and the cell was beginning to grow impatient. This would not cause them to act rash however, they knew far batter. It took about an hour and a half for them to final emerge from the bar and it was apparent they were in a rush back to their hideout. Their tone harsh and hostile to one another, though the words were undecipherable Ondori could tell that something was in the air and that wasn't innuendo, it was a thirst for blood. I guess even though they are under one banner, bad blood between them still exist like any other organization. Watching closely, he saw as they took off in Ishida's direction due West. Ishida, being high enough up in the canopy to not be spotted nor sensed, he took enough in silent pursuit meters behind them. Counting to ten, those that were North and South, Suji and Bato, took off, then in ten more seconds Ondori followed. Suji and Bato would catch up with Ishida, while Ondori assumed his natural position behind the cell. "Stop."

The voice came from one of the Requiem members, the female with the tattoo on the back of her calf."I know you guys are following us. Reveal yourselves now or flee like dogs with your tail between your legs." "Shit." Suji said as he heeded the call of the female after pounding his fist against a tree hard enough to make it with a dent. The three then traveled the rest of the distance to the Requiem members and met them on the forest floor. Ondori whom was trailing, continued, but then noted the dent on the tree. They were found out. He thought for a moment then climbed to higher ground, before proceeding forward with stealth and in a cautious manner with the influence of chakra suppression. There should be five, so I'll be an important piece to this skirmish Positioning himself with the altercation 15m below him, he listened to the two sides converse, but he knew what was going to happen. The Kumogakure Chunin wouldn't just turn around and the Requiem more than likely would try to attack if they did, this was just halted combat. Moving a bit beyond the altercation, Ondori eventually was behind the Requiem members and he then descended to a low lying branch. Forming the Rat Kata, his shadow slithered out to those who faced his allies, unknowingly linking to them, but not yet binding them. Suji, Ishida, and Bato would be able t see this linking knowing that Ondori was ready to initiate combat and they were backed up. That was all they needed. "Well then, I guess we've reached an impasse." That there was the word for the countdown to begin. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. At that the Kumogakure force would spring into action all at once, the word "impasse" signaling to begin counting down before engaging the foe. Ondori locking the foes in place, his allies had a clear shot. Suji drawing a blade cut one down, Ishida delivered a strong Taijutsu oriented blow to one, before finishing him with a combo, and Bato prepared a a jutsu. "Electromagnetic Murder." He called out as his hands touched down to the ground. Calling out the jutsu had significance, so his allies knew what was being employed and knew how to evade, which was by simply leaping to perch on a tree branch. The female leaping back as well found herself on the other side of the tree Ondori was on, still running her mouth, until the Chunin made his presence known. A hand against the nape of her neck and her eyes widened. "Succumb to the sensation, you won't be able to combat my will." A small struggle indued of course, but the end result was as Ondori predicted and that was the female falling unconscious from the application of his Genjutsu. Invading her mind, he discovered the where a bouts of the hideout with barely any problems at all.

"Just a few more miles, their hideout is dug into the side of the mountain range." "D-damn ninja. Always in the way, h-how du-did you get the information." The rest of the Requiem were being executed and this one was waiting for his fate, which Ondori would administer. "It's called Genjutsu." Waving his wrist a kunai appeared in his hand and dug into the chest of the foe, none were left alive, before the cell departed again.

"Ondori that execution was seamless and spot on, great job. Great job everyone else as well with the timing for combat initiation. The hardest part has yet to come, but we shouldn't have too much trouble." The crew nodded to their as they all departed, this time Ondori acting as the point in the formation making the four notably travel together. Reason for this being he knew the whereabouts to the hideout and it was up to him to lead them to the location. "Yeah remind me not to be on the wrong side of Ondori's jutsu yeesh, guy is a genius." Ishida and Bato continued to discuss Ondori's prowess as he proceeded in silence as if he didn't even hear them and Suji simply observed Ondori. "You don't like compliments much do you Ondori?" The black head of hair turned around to face Suji as he shook it horizontally. "Can't say I do, but I appreciate the acknowledgement." Ishida and Bato simply stared at Ondori in what seemed like confusion, but with a shared look between the two they shrugged. "We're about to arrive in about three minutes, so we should cut the talking out here." Suji nodded and as did the others who closed their mouths and proceeded in silence.

The cliffside in sight through the trees, Ondori held up a hand to signal a halt. All four perched on the same branch like a collective of pigeons, Ondori pointed to the hideout and Suji began to call in the huddle for their battle strategy. "Ok Ondori what information do you have on the inside of the establishment if you were able to wrench any out. We'll base our plans off of this." Ondori closed his eyes in concentration to recall the mental attack on the female's psyche previously carried out. "The inside in almost like a labyrinth. Dim lit corridors . . . lots of doors throughout the corridors, possibly rooms, some lead to other corridors. Basically it seems like one big maze, but we should be sure to be careful as we approach openings." He opened his eyes and Suji put a thoughtful hand lightly against his chin in thought. "Ok then . . . first we should rig the perimeter with explosive tags. This isn't a mission we can fail and part of this mission involves destroying the base correct." Less of a question more of a statement that each of the ninja nodded to. "Good, that in mind we'll plant these prior to invading and as a last resort we'll have to detonate them while still inside to take the whole place out with us." He handed out explosive tags to each of his ninja and they all looked at them like keys to their death, even Suji did. They were truly mature ninja now, this was real. Ondori took his and smuggled them in his cloak, shaking off the morbid thoughts that came with them. "Unlike our normal formation, Ondori you'll travel directly with us, but still as over watch. What you'll be watching is our backs, since the structure is so elaborate and unpredictable. Ishida and I will take point, when we reach a doorway or new corridor your job is to check left side while I check right. When you see someone or many, you call out numbers and you engage. Bato as our ninjutsu specialist you are our heavy hitter, what ever you feel appropriate in situations use. Call out audibles so we can react accordingly, but stay conscious of the fact we are inside a mountain and collapse is possible, understood?" They each nodded and SUji nodded affirmatively. "Good lets rig the area." Spreading not too far from each other, in Suji and Ishida covered the walls of the cliffside, while Ondori used his shadow jutsu to smuggle the tags into the smallest nooks and crannies to ensure detonation would cause internal damage to the structure and not just cave those inside in. With Ondori covering the mid, his tags would weaken the structure, then with Bato covering the top, total demolition could be allowed virtually taking out a large portion of the cliff and the whole base. After everyone was prepared, they converged near the base entrance, backs against the wall. A solid stone wall blocked the exit, but it would be dealt with. "Ready?" Suji's hand was up to prepare for the start of the invasion. They each nodded again and Suji swiftly brought his hand down.

Spoiler:

The hand brought down was like lightning cracking against the hard earth. With the signal Bato hopped out in front of the door and Ondori hopped out behind him. Swift hand seals and the Chunin ended with clasped hands. A lightning bolt being expelled out his mouth the wall was blasted to bits and the two spear points of the formation rushed in through the smoke. Bato then followed and Ondori did as well through the smoke into the dim lit facility. Storming through, they halted at the first break in the corridor. One room to the left and one to the right, Ondori stayed on guard of the back, as nerve wrecking as it was his eyes stayed back not looking forward. Again Suji's hand dropped and the two spear heads of the formation ran into the rooms. "Clear!" Shouted Suji. "One!" Called out Ishida and shortly after a scuffle could be heard. Suji would rush in to assist his ally, but as he did a few ninja's came in from down a corridor in the front. "Two!" Shouted Bato, Ondori could then here his ally shuffle through seals. With Suji assisting Ishida and two enemies at their front Ondori knew he needed to turn to assist. The sound of strikes landing and metal clashing in his ear from the battle in the room, Ondori's focus was slightly split, but he couldn't allow that to deter his performance. "Fireball Jutsu!" Shouted Bato to alert his allies what technique was being used right before it was expelled. Using the sight of the fire as cover, Ondori then flicked out two kunai in his hand and tossed them towards the posit he last saw the foes. The fire jutsu being ended, the two bodies were burnt to the bone with kunai lodged in each of them, his projectiles had arrived first and them striking the two Requiem members halted them to get burned alive. Before he turned back around, he then caught sight of Ishida kicking the ninja the two were combating out the room. As the ninja crashed into the wall Suji was close behind and ran him through with his sword straight through the stomach. "Clear, lets move." Adrenaline was pumping steady throughout Ondori as the triangle with a single center piece proceeded, to meet a group of ninja coming down the hallway dashing at them. "Three!" Shouted Suji, but then Ondori was confronted as well, by two coming his way. "Two! Keep main focus front!" He had faith in his skills to be able to face two ninja that were ranked the same as him, but that didn't meant they'd perform the same. Hare->Ox->Boar->Rat With that the two ninja's stopped in anticipation as combat resumed behind Ondori and his shadow began to materialize off the surface. Holding the Rat kata, two ebony panthers were fully formed and on Ondori's mental command they charged both ninja, moving faster than they could hope to. Using kunai and one a tango to hold off the fangs of the beasts, they couldn't stop the claws that ravaged their bodies until their entire chest cavity was painting the walls. "Clear!" Turning to check on his foes, he saw they were having difficulty with their work so he ordered his Panthers to assist as he still held his hand seal. Suji swinging at his foe, the ninja hopped back, to evade and toss a kunai. Suji narrowly avoided and and Bato began hand seals, but such hand seals distracted him from the oncoming kunai. Not being able to react fast enough the blade pierced him in the chest. "Ba-Bato!" Ondori called out as his ally fell to the ground with labored breaths and blood spreading over him chest and out onto the floor. Longing to release the Rat hand seal to help his ally, he couldn't as there were still foes to deal with. "Hang on Bato! We'll finish these guys quick for you!" "You bastard!" Shouted Suji as the ninja chuckled cockily and backed away from the rampant seining Chunin. "Damn these guys are good, we can't- Get out of the way!" Ishida had dove to a nearby room to avoid what was a deep red stream of flames that came rolling downy he hallway. Ondori's Panther's obliterated, he released the Rat Kata and looked to his friend who looked at the approaching fire in fear. Suji had hugged the wall and narrowly avoided the flame for it hadn't spread yet, but now Ondori and Bato were in the line of fire along with one other enemy. "Ahhh you piece of sh-" The enemy was engulfed by his own allies jutsu and Ondori couldn't let that be him, but he also couldn't let that be Bato, but he had to. For his own life he had to. "God Dammit!" Rat->-Dog->Horse With that his own shadow quickly wrapped around his body to shield it from the flames that would burn Bato to mere ashes. Ondori knew that would be the outcome, but when he flames subsided, he still undeniably looked for his ally who was nothing but an outline of ashes. "He- he killed, he killed him . . . he killed Bato!" In rage the Kumogakure Chunin rushed the foe, ignoring the one who avoided the friendly fire and stepping not he ashes of the one whom didn't. Rat->Boar->Ram->Serpent->Dog Was strung out as he charged and Ishida and Suji handled the other non, This caused Ondori's frame to not only relinquish out ten kunai into the enemy Chunin, but also made his shadow armor turn into a wakizashi that he used to slice clean across the Fire Ninja's body killing him. That was it . . . they were done, but there were only three of them.

"Shit shit shit shit!" Ondori yelled as Suji stood over the ring of Bato's ashes and Ishida cried in mourning. Pounding the wall with his fist Ondori blamed himself for not dealing with his foes fast enough, or not taking point, or taking center, or perceiving the kunai, no matter the scenario, the Chunin blamed himself in the end. "We . . we need to go. We still have to finish the mission . . . get up Ishida, stop crying, ninja's don-." He choked and swallowed hard. "Shinobi don't cry, now lets go." "Bu- Bato." "Lets Go!" Yelled Suji at the top of his lungs which silence Ishida and Ondori. "He's right . . . we can't bring him back to life Ishida . . lets just finish the mission." Ondori couldn't look at the perimeter of his friends ashes and he just began to walk forward and Suji then followed. Ishida lingering staring for a while longer soon caught up. Once they were all outside, Suji initiated detonation of the base and Bato's resting place. " . . ." ". . ." " . . ." They all stood in silence, before Suji turned and began walking. "Lets head back to Kirigakure . . . we'll have to file our mission report, then head back to Kumogakure tomorrow."
